Quality Improvement Analyst

Job Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the director of quality improvement (DQI) efforts by compiling and coordinating clinical outcomes data.
 
Primary Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Assists the DQI in conducting a comprehensive, continuous quality improvement (CQI) program throughout the medical practice, including helping to develop annual plans and outcome goals and analyze results on an ongoing basis.
  2. Reviews charts to gather data for OPPEs, EQUAL, and MIPS.
  3. Helps clinical teams to gather outcomes information following regulatory and accreditation standards.
  4. Compiles data into reports for the DQI, site directors, and the senior management team, including an analysis of trends and patterns.
  5. Fulfills internal and external requests for data, including developing special reports.
  6. Participates in presentations to educate staff on outcomes management principles and systems.
  7. Meets with clinical teams about outcomes data to discuss implications for clinical practices. Identifies areas needing improvement.
  8. Collaborates with clinical teams to use outcomes data in patient education and clinical practice applications including the development of new condition-specific protocols and clinical documentation procedures.
  9. Maintains daily dashboards.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


 
Experience: Minimum three years of experience using EMR and Excel, preferably in medical practice setting. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office systems.
 

Working Hours: Usual work hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Work schedule must be flexible dependent upon needs of the organization. Opportunity to work from home possible.
